Pledge Ventures operates as a rules-based fund, basing its investment decisions on specific criteria. These criteria include the requirement that the founders or leadership of the target company are members of Founders Pledge, the company is in the process of raising a minimum of $20 million in a series B or later funding round, and the participation of a "top tier" venture capital firm in the investment round.
